Debbie Rosenberg - Business Coordinator
I have worked with Dr. Mullinger since 1990 when she took over the practice of her lifelong dentist, Dr Stekettee. I have been Dr. Mullinger’s assistant for nearly 23 years. We were both young when we started together, and have enjoyed learning all the new changes in dentistry. We’ve taught each other many different techniques, and encouraged each other to continue learning. I am certified in dental x-rays and CPR. A few years ago I became Dr. Mullinger's business coordinator. I have learned many new things such as updating her online filing of insurance claims and texting to remind patients of their appointments. I like working with patients and helping them understand their insurance.
Family has always been a priority for me. My two sons, Brian and Scott are married, and both live in Indiana. I have one grandson, Brendon, with whom I spend as much time as I can. I have also been very involved in Greyhound rescue and their placement in good homes. I have fostered several greyhounds and currently have two of my own, Simba and Fever. In my free time, I love to crochet and spend time outside gardening, camping and being with my family.
Maggie Valentic - Dental Assistant
Ever since I was a young girl I knew I had a passion for teeth because I loved going to the dentist. In high school, one of the classes being offered was dental assisting and I was so excited to take the class. After getting accepted into the class, I knew assisting was going to be a great passion of mine. I loved learning about the mouth and medical terminology. When I came home from class, I would tell my family all that I had learned that day about the mouth and how to assist a dentist. I loved educating others on the fun facts of teeth and cavity prevention that I learned.
I live in Saint Clair Shores near Dr. Mullinger's office. I am currently going to Macomb and plan to become a dental hygienist. In my free time I love being outside, winter or summer, with friends and family doing some kind of activity. I also enjoy going up north to spend time building fires, exploring the woods and enjoying the rugged lifestyle. In the future, I would love nothing more than to finish my schooling and be hired as a hygienist at Dr. Mullinger’s practice.
Melody Lewalski R.D.H. - Hygienist
I became interested in dentistry in high school when I took a dental assisting course and had a co-op job as an assistant after school. During my 3 years as an assistant I realized that I loved helping patients and had a talent for the clinical aspect of dentistry so decided to further my education and became a dental hygienist.
I attended Ferris State University where I earned my Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. I've been employed as a hygienist in both general and periodontal practices. In 2012 I earned my certification in anesthesia from University of Detroit Mercy and in 2014 I earned my certification in periodontal laser therapy.
My biggest joy in life is my family. I've been married for nearly 20 years and have a 16 year old daughter and a 14 year old son. Most summer weekends you'll find us on our boat cruising around Lake St. Clair. We're also a huge football family. In the fall we are either watching my son play high school foot ball, our daughter as a cheerleader, or a Sunday Lion’s game.
Rochelle LaBadie - Dental Assistant
I have loved coming to the dentist ever since I was young. This may be because I have been coming to Dr. Mullinger’s office as a patient my whole life, and she has made every experience here great and informative. I was ecstatic when I came in for a cleaning and she offered me a position working as one of her assistants.
I started working in the dental field assisting for an endodontic office for a little over three years. I am certified in dental radiology and CPR. I made the switch to general dentistry to be able to work alongside Dr. Mullinger, and have her teach me new and interesting facts about the mouth, a person’s health, and the use of her up to date technology. It also helps to have the opportunity of working with her wonderful staff, who teach me everything they know.
Marie Angel-Stewart, R.D.H., B.S. - Hygienist
I am a Registered Dental Hygienist, with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. I've been part of our team since 1997. Being active in the dental hygiene profession is important to her. Through the years, she has gained knowledge in local anesthesia, laser therapy and the most current periodontal therapies. She is a member of the Oakland County Dental Forensics Team and Michigan volunteer registry. Marie enjoys boating, golfing, kayaking, running and spending time with family and friends.
Karen Klein R.D.H., B.S. - Hygienist
There are many medical caregivers in my family and I am no exception. I started as a dental assistant and then went to Grand Rapids Junior College for a degree in dental hygiene. I am really passionate about healthcare of the total body and that starts with the oral cavity. So many inflammatory disease processes start with poor oral hygiene. I take my time explaining this to patients and describing ways to rectify these problems. If they desire, I will also provide them information about additional health care and nutritional options. Information is power. I am in a dental hygiene study club, and have been trained in periodontal laser therapy.
My husband, Kevin, is a Physician. My daughter, Christine, has her masters in speech-language pathology, and my son, David, is a Lawyer. I believe in giving back to the community that I have called home my entire life. I have been a long standing member in the Soroptomist Group which helps under-privileged women and children and I participate in S.O.A.R, a tutoring program for children. With my free time, I promote a nutritional company, garden, read, exercise, dance, and travel.
